This Son red card vs Chelsea saw the South Korean star sent off for allegedly kicking out at Antonio Rudiger during their London derby on 22 December, 2019. Son was sent off after a VAR check indicated violent conduct, reducing Spurs to ten men when they were already 2-0 down. Rudiger went down a bit theatrically, but the intent to kick appeared to be there from Son.
