The goals for Spurs came from Younes Kaboul, Luka Modric and Peter Crouch, and they could also afford a penalty miss from in form midfielder Gareth Bale.

Arsenal dominated the first half and lead 2-0 at half time, but Harry Redknapp’s decision to bring on Jermain Defoe for winger Aaron Lennon proved to be a tactical masterstroke as Spurs clawed their way back from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
Rafael van der Vaart had a poor first half but his impact on the game for Spurs was unquestionable. He set up the first and third and scored the second.

Reigning European champions Inter Milan will look to stamp their authority over Group A when they meet Tottenham Hotspur at the San Siro on Wednesday night.
