The first time it’s happened in Premier League history- Spurs at the top and Arsenal bottom on the SAME day after a particular round of fixtures. Nuno’s Tottenham will go into the international break as leaders following their 1-0 win over Watford, while Arsenal’s 5-0 loss to Manchester City in this round (Week 3 of the 21/22 season) means they are 20th and last in the league table, as can be seen below.
Interestingly, at this stage- Spurs are yet to concede a goal; Arsenal are yet to score one!
Given the history of the two clubs and their rivalry, it’s a day Spurs fans will not forget, and Arsenal fans will like to put behind as soon as possible.
