Heung-Min Son scores four goals, ALL assisted by Harry Kane, who then scores a fifth himself as Spurs come from behind to beat Southampton 5-2.
This KWP red card vs Palace was an excellent example of the use of VAR as his red was downgraded to a yellow following intervention from VAR referee Craig Pawson. On field referee Jon Moss originally ruled that the KWP challenge on Mitchell was worth a sending off, but after checking it again, the dismissal was reduced to a yellow card, and the player was not sent off.
This Sam Surridge disallowed goal vs Southampton was a bit of a heartbreaker for Bournemouth as they thought they had equalised deep into stoppage time, only for VAR to disallow the goal as Callum Wilson was ruled to be offside and interfering with play. The decision also ensured that Southampton wouldn’t rue the missed penalty from Danny Ings earlier in the game.
