This Marcelo foul on Cesc Fabregas during Barcelona 3-2 Real Madrid lead to a multitude of events in the Spanish Super Cup (Supercopa) game contested between the two sides on 17th August, 2011. Marcelo’s foul on Fabregas was cynical and this infuriated the Barcelona players. It led to a mass brawl, with fighting taking place between both teams on the sidelines.
