Timing is everything in football. And Nike know this very well. The American giant unveiled France’s new 2014 home kit just minutes after Les Bleus qualified for Brazil 2014 thanks to a stunning 3-0 win over Ukraine at the Stade de France.
France were down and out after the first leg, which they lost 2-0 in Kiev, and few gave them chances of overturning the deficit after such a poor display. French papers like L’Equipe ran polls which indicated that the public had little hope of them making it to Rio next year.

The new kit features a predominantly blue shirt with a white collar, with the fabric inspired by the French town of Nimes ( the town that gave rise to the word denim). The collar and side-hem feature a selvedge-like accent, with the design of the crest resembling the 1958 one
