New Hearts FC Home Kit 2009-10

Scottish Premier League side Heart of Midlothian have unveiled their new 2009-10 season home kit.

Hearts finished 3rd in the 2008-09 SPL, and will compete in the Europa League next season.

The new Hearts FC 2009-10 home kit is manufactured by Umbro. The shirt is in Hearts’ traditional maroon colour and is a simple two toned one. There are white bands down the site, and the collar has white piping at the end. The Umbro logo is on one side, while the Hearts crest is on the other. Sponsors Ukio Bankas have their logo in the centre. The new home shirt will be accompanied by white shorts and white socks ( with maroon flashes).

The home kits will go on sale on Friday 19th June, with an exclusive pre-launch party on Thursday 18th June from 6pm-9pm at Tynecastle in the Gorgie Stand.

The new Hearts FC 2009-10 Home Goalkeeper Kit is an all yellow outfit.

Hearts 2-1 Rangers

Hearts handed Rangers their second away defeat of the season when they beat Walter Smith’s Rangers 2-1 at Tynecastle. All the three goals came in a six minute period in the first half ( 20′-26′). Marius Zaliukas and Laryea Kingston were on target for Hearts, with Christos Karipidis heading into his own net from a Charlie Adam set piece.

The result reduces the gap between 2nd placed Rangers and 3rd placed Hearts to seven points. It is also Hearts’ fifth successive win in the SPL. Celtic however have the chance to go seven clear at the top when they visit Inverness later this afternoon.

Laszlo to hunt for a striker in January

Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo has said that acquiring a striker is on the top of his January shopping list. The Scottish club currently have just one main striker in the form of Christian Nade after Jamie Mole and Mike Tullberg both received injury set backs earlier this week. Mole is suspected to have a broken foot, and Tullberg’s ruptured thigh muscle is still giving him problems.

This is what Laszlo said to the Edinburgh Evening News

“We have a plan for January but it’s too early to talk about it in detail.”

“I think we maybe have some problems in two or three positions but we must look at the striker position.

“We will look to the future, for young players who can benefit the team for many years.”
