Crystal Palace have sacked Frank de Boer on September 11, 2017 after the Eagles failed to take even a single point from their opening four fixtures of the 2017/18 league season. The Dutchman was hired by Steve Parish on a three year contract with an aim to change their playing style, but he has now been shown the door after just 77 days at Selhurst Park.

The holder of this record is now De Boer, who has been sacked after just four games in charge of Crystal Palace. The record was previously held by Charlton’s Les Reed.

De Boer’s previous managerial assignment, with Inter Milan, lasted just 85 days.

De Boer is also the first permanent PL manager not to have his team score even a single league goal in his tenure.
