With the game tied at 1-1, Heurelho Gomes felled Ramires in the box, leading to Mike Dean giving the penalty in favour of Chelsea. Drogba, who had scored Chelsea’s equaliser in the game, stepped up, but Gomes was equal to the task and saved the penalty.

Chelsea fail to end their winless run as they draw 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur in a fast and frenetic game at White Hart Lane.
Striker Didier Drogba missed a stoppage time penalty for Chelsea which was saved by Heurelho Gomes, Tottenham’s Brazilian goalkeeper who gave away the penalty and was also at fault for Drogba’s equaliser.
Prior to Drogba’s missed penalty, Roman Pavlyuchenko had given Tottenham the lead with an excellent finish. Drogba equalised for Chelsea with a powerful shot that was spilt by Gomes.
