Schalke finished top of Group B in the Champions League as they beat SL Benfica 2-1 at the Estadio da Luz on December 7, 2010.
The result means that Benfica will now drop into the Europa League.

Werder Bremen heaped more pressure on Rafa Benitez as they beat Inter Milan 3-0 in the final Group A fixture between the two teams. The 3-0 defeat did not have any effect on Inter’s qualification chances, but the Nerazzurri go into the Round of 16 as group runners up instead of group winners.
Manchester United 1-1 Valencia ( Anderson 62’/ Pablo 32′)
Manchester United conceded in the group stages of the Champions League for the first time this season as they drew 1-1 with Valencia at Old Trafford on December 7, 2010.
However the 1-1 result was enough to send United into the knockout rounds as winners of their group.
