Arsenal record with blue kit in 2017-18 | Results of AFC games played in Blue away Shirt in 17-18 season

Arsenal lost to Ostersunds in the second leg of their Europa League knockout tie, with the little known Swedish outfit becoming only the SECOND team to beat the Gunners at the Emirates in the current 2017/2018 season (the first being Manchester United)

However, despite being the home side, Arsenal were wearing their blue away jersey for the game against Ostersunds- apparently because their home kit clashed with the visitors’ red and black change strip (in the end Ostersunds wore their home kit and Arsenal their away uniform!)

The loss to Ostersunds continues Arsenal’s terrible record in the blue kit this season. Liverpool have enjoyed great success with their orange third shirt this season, but Arsenal’s record in the blue one has been just the opposite.

They’ve played ten games and LOST EIGHT of them– the exceptions being the 4-2 away win at BATE in the EL, and a 1-1 draw against Southampton- so P10- W1, L8, D1

Games played in blue away kit by Arsenal in 2017/2018 season and results

Liverpool 4-0 Arsenal
BATE 2-4 Arsenal
Watford 2-1 Arsenal
Koln 1-0 Arsenal

German Footballer of the Year 2017 Votes- Mannschaft Germany Player of the Year 2017- Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich has been named German player of the Year for 2017. The versatile 22 year old Bayern star won an online poll conducted by the national football association, picking up 45.3% of the votes (23,904 out of 52,761). PSG’s Julian Draxler was second, while goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen was third. The poll was among the 11 players who had maximum playing time for the German national football team during the year. Given that Germany sent a relatively young team to the Confederations Cup, this meant that the likes of Jerome Boateng, toni Kroos and Mesut Ozil were NOT in the shortlist.

Ozil is the holder of the German player of the year award, winning it in 2016 and 2015.
