A solitary Lee Bowyer strike condemned Chelsea to defeat at St.Andrews’ and allowed Man United to catch up with the Blues. It was Chelsea’s second consecutive defeat after their shock 3-0 loss to Sunderland last week at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea bossed possession and had plenty of shots but Birmingham put in a resolute defensive performance to claim a point.

Arsenal dominated the first half and lead 2-0 at half time, but Harry Redknapp’s decision to bring on Jermain Defoe for winger Aaron Lennon proved to be a tactical masterstroke as Spurs clawed their way back from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
Rafael van der Vaart had a poor first half but his impact on the game for Spurs was unquestionable. He set up the first and third and scored the second.
