Lyon beat RC Lens 3-0 at home to stay within striking distance of Ligue 1 leaders Lille OSC and Stade Rennais. Lens were in the game till the hour mark, but Jimmy Briand’s goal put paid to their hopes of upsetting Lyon.
Rennes vs Marseille (OM)

Final score:- Rennes 0-2 Marseille ( Loic Remy, Lucho Gonzalez)
Goals from Loic Remy and Lucho Gonzalez give L’OM a 2-0 win over Rennes ahead of the former’s trip to Old Trafford in the Champions League. Rennes could have gone top of Ligue 1 had they won but the late goals put paid to their ambitions.
Lorient vs Bordeaux

2009 Champions Bordeaux were hoping to recover from the defeat at Caen, but were thrashed 5-1 by Lorient as the pressure on Jean Tigana grows. Kevin Gameiro nets three for Bordeaux.
