Lee Carsley’s first England squad 2024- What are the changes from Southgate’s Euro 2024 one?

New interim England manager Lee Carsley has announced his first Three Lions squad for their upcoming fixtures against Ireland and Finland. There are quite a few changes from England’s last squad- the Euro 2024 one by Gareth Southgate, which reached the finals of the Championships before losing to Spain.

Out from England Euro 2024 squad: Aaron Ramsdale, Kyle Walker, Luke Shaw, Jude Bellingham, Kieran Trippier, Lewis Dunk, Joe Gomez, Ivan Toney, Adam Wharton

Note- out includes retired/injured/not selected

New names/inclusions in Carsley squad not present in Euro roster: Nick Pope, Levi Colwill, Toni Livramento, Rico Lewis, Harry Maguire, Angel Gomes, Morgan Gibbs-White, Jack Grealish and Noni Madueke

EPL Table After Week 2 (24-25 season)- Chelsea jump from 17th to 8th

Here is a look at the Premier League Table for the current 2024/25 season after Week 2, and comparing it to the standings as of Week 1.

Chelsea, as you can see, are the biggest movers up the table- they were 17th in the standings at the end of GW1 and are now in 8th spot after GW2 courtesy of their 6-2 win away at Wolves.

Premier League Team of the Week GW2 (2024/25)- Media Outlet roundup for TOTW

At the end of Game Week 2, four teams remain unbeaten in the new 24/25 Premier League season- defending champions Man City, Brighton, Arsenal and Liverpool. Of these four, Arsenal and Liverpool are yet to concede a goal. The Gunners and LFC both won by identical 2-0 margins over the weekend, but the nature of those victories- they didn’t really dominate or stand out, meant that the two teams didn’t have any representative in the official BBC and PL TOTW.
