Here is a look at the quickest English players at Euro 2024. Not surprisingly, Manchester City’s Kyle Walker comfortably tops the list- a defender known for his pace and speed despite being over 30 years of age. But Walker’s top speed of 34.8 km/h at Euro 2024 only places him at 20th in the overall list of quickest players at the tournament (French forward Kylian Mbappe is the fastest at 36.5 km/h)

Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa has been the second fastest player for England at this tournament, followed by the duo of Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka. Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher rounds off the top five.

Here is a look at the European newspaper player ratings for England vs Netherlands. The Three Lions edged this clash 2-1 and we have ratings from French, German as well as Spanish papers (England will meet Spain in the final).

The French paper thought Arsenal midfielder Rice had a rare off-day (he was dispossessed for the Simons goal), and gave him a 5. Saka got a 6, while Real Madrid star Bellingham was given a 3.

L’Equipe was also unhappy with the performance of referee Felix Zwayer, giving him a 4/10 ref rating.

Simons’ goal put the Netherlands 1-0 up in the 7th minute- a powerful effort that Three Lions goalkeeper Jordan Pickford got a hand to, but was simply unable to stop from going into the back of the net.
