UCL Round of 16 Draw 2025- Who will the Premier League teams play in UCL knockout stages?

The draw for the Round of 16 of the Champions League has been conducted and somewhat interestingly, all the three remaining English sides are on the same side of the draw.

Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa are the three Premier League teams left in the Champions League this year following Man City’s exit in the playoff, and only one of those three can make the final, as can be seen below.

Should the Reds progress to the semifinals, their opponents will be one of Real, Atletico, PSV and Arsenal.

Here is a look at the Real Madrid vs Man City 2025 UCL player ratings from the Spanish and European press following Los Blancos’ win over MCFC in their playoff tie. Real won 3-1 at home to win the tie 6-3 on aggregate.

City are the only English team to be eliminated from the UCL this season- Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa all directly progressed to the Round of 16.

Khusanov and Marmoush both got a 4/10, as did Nico Gonzalez and keeper Ederson.

Premier League Table after Arsenal 5-1 Man City | EPL Standings after Week 24 (2024-2025 season)

Here is a look at the Premier League table as it stood after Round 24 in the current 2024/25 season. Defending champions Manchester City were hammered 5-1 by Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates and that took the Citizens out of the top four, with Chelsea taking their place following a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over London rivals West Ham.

Enzo Maresca’s CFC were the biggest gainers in Round 24- they won when all their immediate rivals- the likes of City, Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Newcastle United, all lost.
