L’Equipe player ratings Germany vs Hungary 2-0

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz was Germany’s poorest player on the evening according to French paper L’Equipe, who gave him a 5/10. They liked the performance of defender Jonathan Tah, who has been linked recently with Chelsea- he got a 8/10. Jamal Musiala also got a 8, while Liverpool medio Szoboszlai got a 4.

Goal scorers Musiala and Gundogan were Germany’s best players on the evening according to Bild, with both getting a 1. Havertz got a 3, as did Szoboszlai. A bunch of Hungarian players- Schafer, Bolla, Orban and Dardai got 5, the worst on the evening according to the German newspaper.

Here are the European paper player ratings for Belgium v Slovakia following Les Diables Rouges’ shocking 1-0 loss in their opening game of Euro 2024. We’ve got ratings from French, Belgian, German and Spanish newspapers here for the game.

L’Equipe player ratings Belgium 0-1 Slovakia

French newspaper L’Equipe gave both Leandro Trossard and Jeremy Doku 3/10 ratings. Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, on loan at Roma, fared marginally better in their eyes with a 4/10 while Kevin de Bruyne got a 6/10.

Het Nieuwsblad was very disappointed with Trossard’s performance giving him a 4/10. Lukaku and Doku both got a 5/10 while KdB was again given a 6 here.

European Paper Ratings Austria vs France Euro 2024- Saliba, Kante & others

Here are the European (French + German + Spanish) player ratings for Austria v France at Euro 2024. Les Bleus won 1-0, with Wober scoring a first half own goal.

L’Equipe player ratings Austria-France 1-0

L’Equipe gave Arsenal defender Saliba a 6/10 for his performance, with ex Chelsea medio Ngolo Kante getting a 7/10 for his performance.

Wober, the scorer of the own goal that gave France victory, got a 2/10. L’Equipe were also not really pleased with the performance of Ousmane Dembele and Marcus Thuram, both of whom got a 4/10 rating.

Spanish paper Diario AS chose not to rate two players- Wober and Marcus Thuram. They thought Theo Hernandez was the best French player on the evening- he was the only player on either side to get 3 stars. Saliba got two stars, as did Kante.
