French newspaper L’Equipe was very impressed with the performance of Arsenal defender William Saliba, giving him a 8/10 for his performance- the highest on either side.

Marcus Thuram and Antoine Griezmann got a 3/10 rating for their performance, as did Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

Both managers- Deschamps and Martinez, were given a 4/10 manager rating.

Nice Matin were disappointed with the performance of France’s forwards but praised the backline. They didn’t think the match was of any great quality though, and also thought the referee was poor.

L’Equipe thought Kyle Walker was England’s worst player (3/10) rating followed by fellow defenders John Stones and Kieran Trippier (4/10 rating). Nobody on the England side got more than 6/10, and they thought the Slovakian starting XI was better as a team (average rating of 5.4) as compared to England (average team rating 5.1/10)

Goal scorer Schranz and midfielder Lobotoka both got 7/10 on the Slovakian side, as did the referee for the game.

Here is a look at the England vs Slovenia player ratings at Euro 2024 from the big European newspapers. We’ve got ratings from French, German, Spanish and Slovenian newspapers following a drab 0-0 result that saw the Three Lions finish top of their group.

The French newspaper had Jude Bellingham and Kyle Walker as England’s worst players on the evening (3/10 rating), and had Pickford, Rice and Kane as their best (6/10).

Slovenian centre back Drkusik was the highest rated player on either side (7/10), with the Slovenians also getting a better average team rating than England.

Declan Rice was the pick of the England players in Bild’s eyes- he got a 3 while the others mostly got a 4 and a 5. The German paper was also impressed with the Slovenian defence, with a troika of defenders getting a 2 rating.
