French newspaper L’Equipe gave compatriot Clement Turpin a referee rating of just 3/10. They gave Bayern a team rating of 5/10, with City marginally ahead at 5.3/10.
Ake, Upamecano and Choupo Moting all given a 3/10 player rating. Ederson, Coman and Kimmich with a 7/10.

Bild thought Kimmich was the pick of the Bayern players, and gave four Manchester City starting players (Rodri, Stones, Ederson and Gundogan) the same 2 player rating as Kimmich.

Kicker Magazin were less generous with their player ratings- only Ederson on the City side got a 2. On the Bayern side, they gave a 3 to Kimmich and thought both Musiala and Coman had better games than the midfielder.

Upamecano and Joao Cancelo both not deemed worthy of a rating by Spanish paper Marca.
Marca also thought that Thomas Tuchel(two stars) was better as a manager in this game than Pep Guardiola (1 star).
