As a Saints fan this is difficult for me to say, but the Ref got it wrong.
Please show this clip from about a second before. You will then see that the player who went into Lerma did not have his eyes on all. He barged into Lerrma’s right side which, as Lerma was going backwards, would spin him to the left. A high elbow? Look at how high he had jumped – if this was rugby, the Leicester player would have been sent off for tackling a player in the air.
