Here is a look at the player ratings from some of the big European newspapers following Sevilla’s 2-1 Europa League semi-final win over Manchester United in Germany. United won this game on the xG scoreboard, but Sevilla were clinical with the chances they had, with Suso and Luuk de Jong both finding the back of the net.

Yassine Bounou and Bruno Fernandes the standout players for their respective sides in the eyes of AS, who chose not to give Anthony Martial a player rating.
Sport newspaper ratings Sevilla MU
Fellow Spanish publication Diario Sport Sport were disappointed with Victor Lindelof’s performance- the Swedish defender was also involved in an altercation with Bruno Fernandes.
Bono again the best player for Sevilla, with the keeper earning a 9/10 player rating, with Navas, Reguillon and Banega also faring decently (8/10)

The Manchester Evening News had Wan Bissaka and Brandon Williams at fault for the Sevilla goals (both with a 4/10 player rating), and unlike Sport, thought Lindelof did a fairly good job.
Like the others, they also had Bruno Fernandes as MUFC’s best rated player on the evening.
