Here is a look at the predicted lineups for tonight’s Inter-Getafe Europa League clash from the Italian and Spanish media. The fixture is a Round of 16 game and will be played at Schalke’s Westfalenstadion after being re-arranged due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Edit 7pm UK time 5 August, 2020– here are the actual lineups for the Inter-Getafe game as officially announced. Corriere dello Sport got their predicted Inter XI absolutely spot on. Marca was the only paper to correctly predict a 4-5-1 for Getafe with both Jorge Molina and Angel Rodriguez having to be content with spots on the bench- the rest of the newspapers thought they’d go for a 4-4-2.
Inter: Handanovic, Godin, de Vrij, Bastoni, D’Ambrosio, Barella, Brozovic, Gagliardini, Young, Lukaku, Lautaro
Getafe starting XI: Soria, Olivera, Etxeita, Djene, Damian, Arambarri, Timor, Cucurella, Maksimovic, Nyom, Mata
Gazzetta dello Sport predicted lineup Inter-Getafe Europa League 5 August, 2020
Corriere dello Sport predicted lineups Inter Milan v Getafe
CdS’s starting lineup for Inter is practically identical to Gazzetta’s but for one change- they have D’Ambrosio on the right flank instead of Candreva in the Nerazzurri’s 3-5-2 formation.
Gazzetta also expect Molina to start alongside Mata in a 4-4-2 formation for Getafe, but Corriere dello Sport expect Angel Rodriguez to partner Mata, and not Molina.
Marca predicted lineup for Inter-Getafe
AS Newspaper predicted XI’s for Getafe and Internazionale
The predicted Getafe starting lineup vs Inter from AS is the same one as Gazzetta’s. AS also expect Christian Eriksen and Marcelo Brozovic to start for Inter.
Interesting to compare predicted and actual lineups. Marca and Corriere dello Sport go a tad up in estimate for getting the lineups right.
