This horrible Lukasz Fabianski error vs Liverpool was a howler from West Ham’s Polish goalkeeper, normally so reliable, in their game at Anfield on 24 February, 2020. Fabianski allowed Mo Salah’s shot to go right under him, and the mistake was a big turning point in the game-Liverpool, trailing 2-1, equalised and the went on to win 3-2.
Fabianski mistake Liverpool (Mo Salah goal vs West Ham 2-2 68)
This Salah goal only had a xG of 0.09, meaning that strikers in the position that the Egyptian was in would probably find the back of the net 9 out 100 times. He hit it straight at Fabianski, but the Pole, unfortunately for West Ham, let it go under him.
You could argue that Fabianski was also at fault for Liverpool’s opening goal as well, but this was a more glaring error.
