Man City winger Bernardo Silva has been suspended for the club’s key fixture against Chelsea after the international break following the FA’s decision to impose a one-game band and a fine for his offensive tweet to team mate Bernard Mendy.
Silva has also been fined £50,000 by the FA, and will also undergo an education course (counselling)
Here’s the tweet Silva sent to Mendy that landed him in hot water. City, who lost 3-1 to Liverpool over the weekend, are unhappy with the decision but will not appeal for the fear that the suspension could increase.
