Everton’s new 2018/19 home shirt made its maiden appearance in their clash at Goodison Park against Southampton yesterday evening (May 5, 2018).
The new home shirt is a nod to Everton kits from the 70’s and features classic Umbro taping.
Everton went behind to Nathan Redmond’s second half goal in this game, but equalised thanks to Tom Davies’ goal deep into second half stoppage time.
Kit: Everton home 18/19 (England)
Shirt sponsors: SportPesa (Main), Angry Birds (Sleeve)
First worn in: Everton 1-1 Southampton on 5 May, 2018
Davies’ goal was a blow to Southampton’s hopes of staying up- they would’ve been level on points with Huddersfield and two points ahead of Swansea if he had not scored. His goal also confirmed West Ham’s top flight status next season- they won 2-0 thanks to a fantastic Mark Noble goal.
