Barcelona have confirmed that Inter Milan have taken midfielder Rafinha on loan from the Blaugrana. The Nerazzurri will pay the Brazilian’s wages and have the option of making the transfer permanent for 35 million euros (plus 3 million in bonuses) in the summer.
Rafinha is the brother of Thiago Alcantara, who now plays for Bayern Munich, and his departure is the latest in the list of Barca youth products not quite being able to make the step up to the senior team. He arrived at Barca over a decade ago.
Rafinha will wear the No.8 jersey at Inter and has made the switch to the San Siro with one eye at making his country’s 2018 World Cup squad.
