Eagle eyed boot watchers would’ve spotted Bayern Munich and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski wearing his new custom Hypervenom II boots this week in their qualifiers against Scotland the Republic of Ireland. Lewandowski scored in both games to book Poland an automatic spot at next summer’s Championships.
The custom red and black custom boots, specially created by Nike for the in form forward, feature graphics connected to the player’s past, and emphasise his fighting spirit and honour his abilities in front of goal.
The new cleats feature the words “Lewy” and “Semper Invicta” (always invincible- motto of the Polish city of Warsaw, also Lewandowski’s home town) The Polish flag can be seen on these boots, which also have a judo belt as a tribute to the striker’s father, who was a judo athlete.
