Jurgen Klopp to Liverpool- FSG get their man on 3 year deal, Buvac & Krawietz to join Anfield set up

Days after sacking Brendan Rodgers, the Fenway Sports Group have landed a mini coup of sorts by agreeing a deal with Jurgen Klopp. The former Dortmund gaffer has agreed a 3 year deal with the club, and will bring along with him, his former assistant Zeljko Buvac and analyst Peter Krawietz.

Sean O’Driscoll and Gary McAllister, the current Liverpool assistant manager and first team coach respectively, have been relieved of their responsibilities and will not be part of the new setup at Anfield, although it is understood that McAllister has been offered a different role.

Liverpool have also parted ways with Chris Davies, their Head of Opposition Analysis man who joined with Rodgers in 2012.

With eight rounds done in the league so far, Liverpool are in a disappointing 10th place, but only six points separate them from leaders Man City, meaning that Klopp has been given a fairly good opportunity to transform the Reds’ season

The Reds had shortlisted both Klopp and Ancelotti, but it was felt that the German would be a better fit for the club in their current position.
