285/1- YES, those were the odds for both Chelsea and Man City losing today.
The FA Cup today (January 24, 2015) saw quite a few Cupsets, but non more than the losses of Chelsea and Man City, sitting one and two in the Premier League table respectively. Both teams were playing at home against lower ranked opposition and were safe bankers to advance to the next round of the competition.
Chelsea lead 2-0 at one stage against League One Bradford, but somehow lost 4-2 and conceded thrice in the last quarter of the game. The Bantams were 25/1 at the beginning of the game to beat Jose Mourinho’s men.
The odds were shorter on Boro, currently second in the Championship and having promotion aspirations themselves, but still reasonably long at 10/1. However the Riverside outfit, who once beat City 8-1 some years ago, shocked the 45,000 that had turned up at the Etihad by winning 2-0.
So Bradford at 25/1 and Boro at 10/1. But what were the odds on BOTH of them winning today? A staggering 285/1, as reported by Bet365. Check out their tweet.
So somebody who wagered £10 on BOTH Chelsea and Man City losing today, would’ve happily pocketed £2850.
A double on Bradford (25/1) to beat Chelsea and Middlebrough (10/1) to beat Man City would have paid 285/1… pic.twitter.com/xyt9oSEx8J

This is one of those days where you know you couldn’t have bet against your own team to lose…but…that is a lot of money I could have won :O
