blatant handball
I wouldn’t have called it exactly blatant. It was especially difficult for the referee to see it.
Perhaps if the City defenders had done their job instead of running towards the official it wouldn’t have mattered.
Either way City had plenty of chances to score and win the match but did not do well to convert them.
You who’s sayin blatant handball how did you expect Cluttenberg to see that ball…
I agree with Todd,If city defenders did there job it wouldn’t have been like that,They had alot of chances but you know teams that win trophies by coincidence always perform like that…hehehehe
Infact in football you play the whistle n nothin like Honesty,So what Crouchy did is exactly his job…Play the ball n not the whistle…N money cini should stop complaining they also scored silly goals last term…Stoke were just lucky move on!!!!
City were taken up by their champions league clash with madrid. Credit should be given to stokes defending. Shawcross cleared of line,Begovic had a busy evenning.
Perhaps the ref can’t be expected to have seen all of the handballs crouch committed in that one magnificent display, but you would like to think he would’ve seen one of them. Although to be fair it’s probably hard to concentrate when you have a 6ft7 ganglepuss flailing his arms and legs around trying to stay on his feet.
Crouch is a genius goalscorer….this one was definitely up there along with his goal where he dragged some poor Trinidadian to the ground by his dreadlocks to head the ball in the net.
His elegance on the ball is second to none!!
