  1. Rip off report: First half hand ball in the box, no call. Second half penalty in the box, holding and pulling down the player during a direct header to the goal, no call. Results: America ousts Japan in woman’s olympic soccer 2-1 this afternoon. Poor effort on behalf of the refs. Pathetic. The proud? I guess so. But we know who played the better game. Hats off, but unfortunately, that’s life. Tactics.

  2. Congrats to the the US Team . . . it was a cracking game. We hoped that Japan would win, they’ve played so well all through the Olympics, so well done to them as well for taking out the Silver Medal.

  3. Japan losed, but what a sportswoman ship. I still remember the faces of the American players when they loosed their game against Japan in the world cup. What an anger and so disgusting.
Today, Japan has the right to be mad, because they didn’t received their deserved penalty(s). There smiles and cries are real and showed good sportswoman ship.
They even seem like a bunch of school kids on bus tour when they received their really deserved medals from Mr Blatter.
So cute and refreshing and congratulations

  4. Congrats to the US for obtaining the goal medal. My only problem with these games is when the officiating is so bad that it affects the result. One thing the US team seems to have more than any other is luck with the referees. They could roll a ball out of play and back onto the field and get away with it. I would love to see some victories where stuff like this don’t happen. Sometimes, even in victory, you can be left with a sour taste in your mouth. Not only in this game, but others. For example, the game against Canada. After the game I wanted to celebrate, but something in the back of my mind ‘felt’ that Canada would have won, if not for the referee.
The US team is capable of beating any other team in the world. They don’t need the help. The greater the challenge the better we will see of them. Some teams have it harder than others in some sports, and it makes you want to lose interest.
