Akaash and Oluwaniyi, thanks. But our football is as our English: it is not yet perfect (how could it be, if this is not our mother-language ?:)
I suppose you are much younger than me and one day you will see Portugal champion. This time, we were again so close to the dream, that’s why it was so sad.
i think both team played a good game .spain was lucky to win.in my opinion i want portugal win because i want something change ,anyone also can think that just germany or spain will champion.
Insecure people need to convince others around them that they are the most talented and handsome. That’s exactly what we keep hearing from Ronaldo. He complains that opponents foul him because they are unable to cope with his skills and hate him for his good looks. CR7 keeps trying to convince us that he is better than Messi. If he is really superior then let his footballing skills speak for him. Up till now, Ronaldo is just using his mouth to shout out loud. He seems desperate to convince not only the fans, but himself, that he is truly the best footballer in the world.
I go into more thought about this on my blog ( jonoofalltrades(dot)blogspot(dot)ca)
I hate the idea of a shootout determining a winner. However, it can be far too physically demanding to do continuous soccer until a goal is scored, especially with few days rest between games. What I’m thinking is golden goal extra time (first goal scored wins), but allow for unlimited substitutions. This way players can rest if need be. There is more strategy involved on the coach’s part this way too.
It’s easy to point fingers..and play the blame game…what if this…what if that…bottom line is this, Portugal was a serious contender. They were probably the most balanced opponent for any of these teams! Sure Ronaldo had a shaky start…but he played like a champion because you don’t get three goals at this level if you don’t have talent. You can speculate all you want…nobody knows who picked or had input into the order of the PKs, and one more thing stop imagining things…we do not know what goes through the players heads/minds… most of us don’t even know what is going on in our own heads never mind the payers. Congratulations to Portugal who just became my favorite team…and yes I did say team because this is a team sport and they did play like a team. I can’t wait to see them play in FIFA 2014.
Spain is the great team of this generation .but I think ronaldo foam is slighty down and that is the big reason for portugal losing.
