Arsenal have completed the signing of Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud for a fee rumoured to be around £12m. Giroud is Arsenal’s second major attacking acquisition of the summer after the transfer of German international Lukas Podolski from Cologne.
Giroud has signed a “long term” contract at Arsenal and was top scorer for Montpellier last season in Ligue 1, netting twenty one times to help MHSC pip Paris Saint-Germain to the title. He was also part of the French squad that reached the quarterfinals of Euro 2012.
French striker Giroud 25, is here seen modelling Arsenal’s new 2012/13 season home kit.

If Arsenal continues to sign good players like Giroud and Lukas Podolski, obviously they will be able to end their trophy drought. It is also important to hold “The Prolific Striker” Robin van Persie in Arsenal to further strengthen the team line-up.
giroud should do well with podolski and rvp
