I know that Germany will win! We support fair play. So justice will be and hope England won’t go furtther)))
England fans shouldn’t get too carried away by this victory, and qualification for the quarter-finals. A more technically-gifted team such as Italy will put the English to the sword. Ukraine are a second-rate team who couldn’t even avoid losing to a poor England side, when they had home advantage. Don’t forget that the Ukrainians only qualified by the backdoor because they are joint hosts.
Miroslava: Fairplay = counting a goal that is offside?
As this article reviewmaze(dot)com/2012/06/is-there-any-sport-involving-more(dot)html suggests even if there has been an offside this just make the number of mistakes bigger. It’s really a stupid situation – so popular game with immensely stupid jusging system.
“The ball crossed the line,” the Italian said. “This was the third situation of this kind in the tournament. Unfortunately, this one was wrong.” Collina’s words. Uefa chief refereeing officer Pierluigi Collina has admitted that Ukraine were wrongly denied a goal in their 1-0 defeat against England.
What’s the f**king off-side are you talking about?????????????????
It was offside when the Ukrainian left-back passes a long ball to the Ukrainian striker, at the time the ball was played he is in an offside position, by fifa-rules. Then this striker passes the ball to the goalscorer who plays the ball into the goal.
So yes it was offside, but alas the linesman didn’t see it, then the goal crossed the line, but once again the officials didn’t see it. Besides, England would have gonenthrough with a draw, even with a 2 – 1 loss.
Also schevchenko should’ve been sent off, so i can’t see how Karzai would have been paid :P.
Meeh, England squad sucks anyway
James: thank you for expelling for me.
Miroslava: if you watch the replays you can clearly see he is offside when the ball was played to him
The ball crossed the line, period. There’s no way in hell that Eng-what is going to beat Italy. Yes, in their dreams!!!! After the quarter final, England is going straight to the airport en-route to London!
Germany to lift the trophy!
The play was offside period.
england’ll surprise all by beating italy den challenge germany
IN CAPITALS JUST TO STAND OUT OBVIOUSLY.
THE TRUTH IS THAT THE DISALLOWED GOAL IN THE MATCH AGAINST UKRAINE WOULD HAVE MADE NO DIFFERENCE.
WITH A 1-1 DRAW AGAINST THEM, ENGLAND WOULD STILL HAVE GONE THROUGH ON TOP. UKRAINE WOULD STILL HAVE GONE OUT.
THE GOAL SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED BUT IT WOULD HAVE MADE NO DIFFERENCE ANYWAY, END OF STORY.
I had in the past many friends from England and Scotland. If any of them reads this, i wish them the best. In my country we also had, and still have, many ukrainians. This is to say that i’m neutral. I’ve seen the match England vs Ukraine on 2DF (Germany) and the images left little doubt that the ball was fully after the line. The referees can misjudge. What i regret is, as this problem comes from so long ago, UEFA has not yet changed its position concerning technical aids.
One day, in a final of the “Taça de Portugal”, the same doubt was in our minds; this was long ago. Mr. Michel Platini, why not a step forward?

Ray: THE GOAL SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED BUT IT WOULD HAVE MADE NO DIFFERENCE ANYWAY, END OF STORY.
Dear Ray,
For the Ukrainians it would make a difference. Striving for justice in our own country and fighting against corruption in it, we look up high onto the European Union’s values. And we assume that Euro-2012 was bringing high standards into Ukraine as well – at least, in the area of sports. Sports should bring people joy, peace and justice as the sports events are in front of thousands and even millions fans’ eyes. And only the blind could not see the goal. It is not the issue of victory for Ukraine, but the issue of justice in football.
Alas! The misallowed goal from Ukraine showed me that there is injustice in the European soccer and there are also non-professionals who are ALLOWED to judge on the EU soccer pitch. When the evident goal was not counted, is there a reason to trust the stronger countries who always try to take an advantage of a weaker country?
The misallowed goal means humiliation for Ukrainians.
The misallowed goal means the European soccer values stink.
The misallowed goal means that the UEFA bosses simply do not want to interfere into an injust game. In the IT era, it is really rediculous that the UEFA does not rely on the IT to double-check whether the goal has happened or not.
Shame on low standards of the European soccer!
NO RESPECT! NO RESPECT! NO RESPECT!
I love, adore and take my hat off before Ukraine – my dearest team of champions! Blokhin and Shevchenko are our football stars and legends!
And respect to you all in this forum, guys. I would all-heartedly seek to see a fair soccer, not unfair like in the game Ukraine-England.
GET!! IN ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE BEST PLAYER IS WENYE ROONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW
Dear Ukranian friend, i fully understand your sorrow. You have done your best to have beautiful stadiums, to honour the countries of this our Europe. And an unhappy decision of a referee SEEMS to disregard all that.
But remember: more than the result of a game, it is your image of a great and respectful country that counts for the future. We in Portugal also did our best in 2004 and did not win.
Well done Ukraine ..they cant even stand against Ukraine how would they face Germany i do agree Daniel they won’t be playing Germany….. the next game is against Italy… hopefully take off time ,British Prido Squad
Rooney ur da best in england
Now that the dust has settled and we have no more tears, with 2 survivors left for the great final match, who will win is a mystery; the ancient Greeks would say that we are all winners, es partners in the event.
Anides Santo: “…we are all winners, es partners in the event”.
Dear Anides,
Thanks. And I agree w/ you. We are all part of this world and are all winners as far as we can live in peace and live peace.
The Ukrainians were honoured indeed to host Euro-2012. And the fans from Europe have brought part of good Europe with them into Ukraine. Different nations could exchange their positive emotions and support their national teams.
Ronaldo is popular in Ukraine too )
