  1. The more boring team in every form worn ( yes, even their jersey was boring)

Netherlands should’ve have had that penalty

  2. Denmark defended very well, they know how to mark robben. Netherland was unlucky and some bad decisions came from referee.

  3. Massive tactical blunders by Van Marwick and his team. Most of the first 30 minutes were wasted in showboating and overconfidence. The danes were nervous starters and looked a sub standard team through out the game. Holland have been done in for 2 reasons. 1. Not starting their best lineup (van der vaart , kuyt and huntelaar on the bench) and 2. Overconfidence and underestimating the Danes. Van Marwik needs to pick himself up and get his team and strategy straight

  4. Did Netherlands require two defensive midfielders against a Danish team which had Bendtner of all people starting upfront?

He did take off NdJ , but it came a tad too late

  5. Dutch team is very powerful, and that 1-0 seemed to have changed the game. However, I believe they will still make it. As they have played today and previously neither Germany or Portugal can stop NEDERLAND, Oranje Boven!!!

  6. Average as Denmark were throughout the game, you’ve got to give credit where it is due. Michael Krohn Delhi scored a fabulous goal I thought- great footwork to show Van Marwijk that his defence remains his biggest headache

  7. Denmark showed that they weren’t afraid, which Netherlands couldn’t believe. Yeah Denmark was lucky, but to show the courage by playing around in the Defence while keeping Netherland from getting the ball was very brave and unsecure. But they did it, and showed every nation in the world, that they aren’t afraid of anything.

    Well done!

  8. The Danish team played a good match despite being forced into a defensive the first part of first half and first part of second half. But after the goal we controlled the first half pretty well, and the last 20-25 minutes of second half happened mostly on our premises.

The dutch have better players, but we have a better team, and therefore we won. We played beautiful, intricate short passing soccer in large parts of the match, and played true Total Football so well the Dutch can only dream of reaching that level.

It is true that the Dutch had many shots towards goal, but out of 28 shots 20 was high and wide above goal. In regard to shot on target that stats are even, 8-8. We were sharper and deserved the win. We beat the Dutch by playing Dutch.

  9. 1. The Danish were extreemly lucky
    – They scored from their first chance and had only for attempts.
    – The referee missed an extreemly obvious handball in the penalty area and made a blunder of not giving a penalty.
    – They played against a team that had the wrong mindset.

    2. The Dutch team was the better team that lost.
    – Even with the wrong mindset they should have won that game.
    – They can blame the referee for 1 point and themselves for the 2 other points.

    3. That 1 point (no giving a penalty where it should) could prove to be the difference of going home or not.
