  1. Salpigidis should have started for Greece

As for Samaras, he showed why he scored only one goal in greece’s qualifying campaign

  2. Lewandowski was good to begin with and held up play well.

Drifted out of it later though, still undecided on whether he is Man U quality or not

  3. Poland should have converted their chances in the 1st half. Lewandowski played really well for Poland and if Greece didn’t have Salpingidis I don’t know what the score would have been.

  4. Both of the yellow cards for the player who was sent off i fail to see how they are even fouls especially on the second one, the polish player is clearly going down before he touches him

  5. Very bad penalty from Karagounis

He gave all the time in the world for Tyton to save the penalty

  6. The ref had a shocker in the first half. Once Greece was down to 10 men I thought the game was over but suprisingly it was an enthralling finish. Karagounis’s miss was unforgivable and the goal Greece scored afterwards which was ruled off side was indeed a goal. In summary Poland should have won that game but they just went cold in the second half of the game, maybe they thought they had it in the bag!

  7. (**Culminatr walks in with an Aussie and Greek flag draped around his shoulders, holding a Coopers**)

As an Aussie Greek, mate, this Greek team is bloody awesome. Down to 10 players, kept their composure. Attacked with attitude, and came back with a vengence. A Coopers to me Greek cousins!

  8. @ Stathy, yes, despite their loss to the Czechs. And regardless of what happens in Poland vs Russia

  9. Greece is only in if they beat Russia (not going to happen) and Poland and Czech Rep tie (possible but irrelevant since Russia is going to crush Greece).
