This stunning Craig Gardner goal vs Wigan ( see video below) put Sunderland 1-0 ahead in their fixture against the Latics on 3rd January, 2012. Sunderland went on to win the game 4-1. Gardner’s free kick against Wigan was almost Ronaldoesque in nature, with the medio lashing home from distance.
