This Ashley Cole tackle on Javier Chicharito Hernandez during Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Chelsea FC in the Premiership on Sunday, September 18, 2011 infuriated Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who dubbed Cole’s tackle as “shocking”.
Cole’s tackle on Hernandez earned the England defender a yellow card. Cole’s tackle however meant the end of the evening for Hernandez, who was replaced immediately by Dimitar Berbatov. Cole’s tackle on Chicharito took place in the 77th minute of the game.
