Torres misses open goal Video- Fernando Torres miss vs Man Utd 2011

Fernando Torres seemed to have shown flashes of his old when he scored Chelsea’s first goal in their 3-1 loss to Manchester United, but the Spaniard then came up with this shocking open goal miss that will leave Chelsea manager Andre-Villas Boas more confused than ever.

The Torres miss vs Man Utd came in the second half of Chelsea’s game. With the goal at his mercy, Torres, regarded as one of the best finishers in the game, shot wide.

  1. True, “me”, I think Torres will be big this year too. He’ll be huge.

    A huge flop!! 😀 😀 😀

  2. He’s slowly getting there but that was a hell of a miss there’s not been many as bad as that in the premier league.

  3. I wonder if Liverpool really did know what they were doing when selling Torres. Maybe they knew the form he displayed with them was an aboration. Is just another Michael Ricketts?

  4. Torres seems to have lost his nerve when a goal is just wanting to be scored!!!!

I wonder if the £50,000,000 price tag is a burden he cannot cope with?

  5. I was at the game, in the stretford end. pretty much everyone had decided that torres had scored, before he kicked it. when he missed no-one could believe it at all. I dont understand how a player like torres has gone from one the best players in the world to someone who barely scores. There must be something wrong in his personal life?

  6. I saw this on TV, and I was stunned. I don’t know how he missed it. I guess we all make mistakes……..?

  7. One man can transform Torres’ drop in form… Alex Feruguson! But seriously, sitting on the banch isn’t helping anyone.

  8. A comet passed by the earth recently missing the earth by twenty two thousand miles. The scientists named the comet “Fernando Torres”.
