This 7th minute Gervinho goal vs Cologne (Koln) was the Ivorian’s first ever Arsenal goal. Gervinho signed for Arsenal from Lille OSC in the summer 2011 transfer window and scored on his debut against Bundesliga outfit Cologne. The Arsenal vs Cologne game was a pre-season friendly on 23rd July, 2011. The assist for Gervinho’s first Arsenal goal came from Jack Wilshere- a beautiful pass which Gervinho chipped over the keeper to get his first Arsenal goal. Gervinho also scored the second goal in the game in the 16th minute before being substituted for Japanese star Ryo Miyaichi. There was another own goal from Carl Jenkinson that saw the game end at 2-1.
