It is transfer deadline day ( January 31, 2011- Monday) in the English Premier League.
The window officially ends at 23.00 GMT. A lot of moves were expected, with Fernando Torres’ reported switch to Chelsea the biggest of them all. Andy Carroll’s £35m transfer to Liverpool was a close second. Around £240m+ was spent by British clubs in this transfer market, in comparison to the £30m odd figure spent last January.
