Everton have launched a new purple kit to raise £100,000 for the Liverpool Unites children’s charity. The first images of the purple shirt were released on October 9, and it will be officially launched at a public dinner at Goodison Park on October 29. You can pre-order the new limited edition jersey from the Everton club shop, and deliveries will begin on October 30.
The design, which sees the Everton crest on a purple shirt for the first time in the club’s 131 year history, is proving to be a massive hit with the fans, and is the club’s fastest ever selling shirt. Every shirt will be boxed, numbered and the buyer will also be presented with a certificate of authority.
Seen here in the picture of the new purple shirt are Everton manager David Moyes ( second from right), summer signing Diniyar Bilyaletdinov ( extreme right)and Stephan and Melanie Jones, the parents of 11 year old Rhyl Jones, who was killed in the Croxteth Park area of Liverpool in August 2007.
