Bolivia v Argentina goals highlights

I couldn’t believe this scoreline when I saw the end result.

Days after beating Venezuela 4-0, Diego Maradona suffered his first loss as Argentina coach as his side were hit for a six by Bolivia.

Yes, Argentina who were second in the group coming into this game, were beaten 6-1 by Bolivia, who were second from bottom in the group.

It was Argentina’s worst loss in sixty years, and Maradona was at a loss for words.

It is not the biggest margin of victory in the CONMEBOL Group Round for the 2010 Qualifiers. That honour belongs to Uruguay, who hammered Peru 6-0 in Round 6.

  1. a defeat like this could pessibly lead to the argentinians bulding a compact and
solid team for the wc 2010 . It is better for them to learn their lesson now than at the wc 2010

    greetings

  2. Agree with you Satisch.

It was probably the altitude in Bolivia that they struggled to adjust to.

  3. we have to be honest . argentinia is a very talented team but they are weak in certain
details . brazil , spain , germany , italy are sharper on the field and strategically more aware
argentina doesn’t know how to deal with the role of favourite . in this respect this lesson from
bolivia = welcome . they still have to learn a lot because argentina = not a solid and compact team yet . the defense = too slow
i hope from my heart theat argentina become worldchampion . they have gifted players
