Former England international Paul Scholes and Scottish midfielder Darren Fletcher have signed extensions to their current contracts. Scholes will stay at Old Trafford till 2010, while Fletcher has committed himself to the club till 2012.
Salford born Scholes, 33, has been at Manchester United for all his life. He will turn 34 on 16 November. In the recent 3-0 win against Danish side Aalborg in the Champions League, Scholes had to be stretchered off after 16 minutes, with later tests revealing medial knee ligament damage.
24 year old Fletcher joined Manchester United as a trainee in July 2000, and has gone on to make more than a 100 appearances for the club.
