Championship side Charlton Athletic have completed a double swoop by signing Zheng Zhi and Izale Mcleod. As some of you might have recollected, Zhi made a few appearances last season for Charlton while on loan, but his transfer has now been made permanent. A fee of two million pounds was paid to Shandong Luneng for the services of the Chinese midfielder.
Forward Izale Mcleod has been signed from MK Dons for a fee of 1.1 million pounds, which could rise by a further four hundred thousand pounds. Mcleod was named league two player of the year last season and was also present in the PFA League Two team of the season 2006-2007.
He has also made one appearance for the England U-21 team.
