Fulham manager Lawrie Sanchez has brought another player to Craven Cottage, and this time it is West Ham fullback Paul Konchesky. The fee for Konchesky, who usually plays at left back or left midfield, is unknown, but could rise upto 3 million according to reports.
Konchesky is the latest signing made by Sanchez to strengthen the Fulham defence- the other two being Chris Baird from Southampton and Aaron Hughes from Aston Villa. Konchesky, who has played two times for England, started off as a trainee at Upton Park before moving to Charlton, where he made 149 appearances and scored 5 times . He came back to Upton Park for 1.5m before making the move to Fulham.
Birmingham were also reportedly interested in securing his services. Konchesky is a pretty able player- remember the 2006 FA Cup final between West Ham and Liverpool??
