FA Cup fourth round results

These are the results from the games in the FA Cup fourth round.

Barnet 0-2 Plymouth ( Hasney Aljofree pen, Scott Sinclair)

Plymouth overcome their league 2 rivals with two second half goals. The strike from Sinclair, who is on loan from Chelsea, was quite brilliant, as the lad beat two players before slotting home.

Birmingham 2-3 Reading ( Martin Taylor, Sebastian Larsson/Dave Kitson,Leroy Lita*2)

Dave Kitson marks his comeback from injury on the opening day of the season by opening the scoring and setting Steve Coppell’s men into the fifth round.

Blackpool 1-1 Norwich ( Ian Evatt, Darren Huckerby)

Evatt was responsible for Huckerby’s goal, but he made amends with a goal for Blackpool, which earns the league 1 side a replay.

2 second half goals at home from the Robins earns them a replay at the Riverside, and keeps their impressive home record intact.

Crystal Palace 0-2 Preston North End ( David Nugent,Kelvin Wilson)

England U-21 forward, Nugent, who has had a 6 million bid for him rejected, scores to help PNE enter the fifth round.

Derby 1-0 Bristol Rovers (Paul Peschisolido)

Bristol Rovers exit the cup thanks to a late strike from Peschisolido. They couldn’t emulate Bristol City, who came back from 2 down to draw with Boro.

Fulham 3-0 Stoke ( Montella, McBride, Radzinski)
Fulham’s quality told at the end of the final whistle.

Ipswich 1-0 Swansea ( Alan Lee pen)

Lee’s second half penalty sends the Tractor Boys into the fifth round.

Luton 0-4 Blackburn ( Matt Derbyshire*2, Benni McCarthy, Morten Gamst Pedersen)

Derbyshire, who scored in the 3-0 win over City scores a brace as Blackburn produce a professional display to make their manager and their fans proud.

Manchester United 2-1 Portsmouth ( Wayne Rooney *2, Kanu)

Rooney turns super sub as his introduction in the second half ends Pompey’s resistance. It was the most interesting game in Saturday’s round of fixtures, and it did turn out to be a thrilling one. Rooney’s chip will be talked about for some time though đŸ˜€

Tottenham 3-1 Southend ( Robbie Keane, Mido, Jermaine Jenas/ Freddy Eastwood penalty)

Southend had sent United out of the FA Cup, but couldn’t do the same with Spurs.

West Ham 0-1 Watford ( Anthony McNamee)

The second all premiership fixture on Saturday saw Watford beat fellow strugglers West Ham at Upton Park.

Arsenal 1-1 Bolton ( Kolo Toure/ Kevin Nolan)

The replay will be one to watch out for.

Chelsea 3-0 Nottingham Forest ( Shevchenko, Drogba, Mikel)

Chelsea were handed a relatively easy draw, and sealed their place with three first half goals. For Forest, once you concede three, there is no way back, and that is precisely what happened

Manchester City 3-1 Southampton ( Vassell, Barton, DaMarcus Beasley /Jones)

City join their bitter rivals from Manchester  in the fifth round by winning at COMS. They were a goal down, but recovered to win.
Wolves 0-3 West Bromwich Albion ( Diomansy Kamara,Kevin Philips, Zoltan Gera)

I have nothing to say to Wolves after their performance here .
