Edgar Davids could return to Ajax

Tottenham midfielder Edgar Davids is on the verge of returning to the club where he began his career in 1991, Ajax Amsterdam. Davids’ representative has reportedly been quoted saying that Davids has signed a 18 month contract with the Dutch giants. The nitty gritties of the transfer are still being worked out.

Davids came to White Hart Lane in 2005 on a free transfer from Inter Milan. Although he hasn’t figured in as many games this season as he would have liked, the former Milan and Barcelona midfielder has had a fairly succesful time at Tottenham. The likes of Huddlestone and Lennon would have learnt a lot from him. Davids hasn’t figured in the Dutch squad for a long time, but he hasn’t retired from football .

The “Pitbull”‘s experience could come in handy for Henk Ten Cate’s side, who are currently fourth in the Eredivise.
